Fabrication is the process of translating computer-generated designs into physical objects using computer-controlled machinery. The methods I use include 3D printing, laser cutting, and CNC milling. By combining digital design tools with automated production, digital fabrication enables rapid prototyping, customization, and complex geometries that might be difficult or impossible to achieve through traditional manufacturing methods.

MY ARTISTIC JOURNEY

My name is Derek and I am an artist. My journey began back in 2010 following high school, when I decided to pursue a higher education in Media Arts and Animation.

The early stages of my career started in college when I interned at a couple local studios in the Minneapolis Area. Among the most memorable of the projects during this period was my contribution to a team that created the Imax film "Space Next".

Post-graduation I entered the freelance arena, offering a wide array of services. My portfolio then included graphic/web design, video projection, and animation. Ultimately all of this led me to forge a new decade-long journey in Digital Content Creation.

Lately the only question I've found that is worth answering is "How will you serve the world, what do they need that your services can provide?"
